Kate is Great

Kate Middleton is definitely positioning herself wisely with Price William and the royal family, according to this month's Vanity Fair. Apparently she has been sporting lots of Issa dresses lately. Love those. She always looks great and is definitely a style inspiration for those favoring a young but classic look. You can read the article here.

Oh What a Night

The Black and White ball was so much fun!  The special events committee did such an awesome job and everyone looked beautiful.  My sources tell me the party raised $18,000 for the Junior League of Salt Lake City!

Here are some pictures.

The band was phenomenal - if I ever host a big party *cough*or wedding *cough* in Utah, I will definitely have the Soul Survivors!  We boogied to Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, The Temptations, James Brown and all the classics!

Thank you for the wardrobe advice.  I went with pearls on a ribbon (LKG tells me they are back "in," and I trust her more than anyone when it comes to fashion), a green wrap (gift from LKG, obvi), and nude patent Bettye Muller peep toes.

Gives You Wings

Here are some beauty looks I have been saving for a rainy (dressy) day.  I want winged eyeliner and shocking pink lipstick to work on me, because they are so much fun, but I haven't the faintest how to do them myself.

1.  Naomi Watts

2.  Emma Stone

3.  Unknown model

4.  Flavia de Oliveira at Valentino (my favorite - and I'll take the dress too please)

5.  Alexa Chung

And I love the idea of messy-sexy Bardot half-updo.

Black and White Night is Upon Us Again

This Saturday is the annual Black and White Night fundraiser for the Junior League of Salt Lake City so I have to look gawgeous. It's unclear as to whether you actually have to wear black and white to the party, but I decided to err on the side of caution since everyone did last year, when I wore this Lilly:

(Isn't P handsome in pink?)

I usually go for more colorful clothing, but I picked out this RL dress. I figured I'd be able to wear it a lot:

(LKG is dat chu?)

I think I might wear it sans straps. The polka dots are tan. What accessories, do you think? Pearls? Chunky necklace? Hair up or down? Black shoes, nude shoes, gold shoes? Pink, black, or green wrap? Please weigh in.
